What is actually stored

Kobra IMG sets no cookies — not for advertising, not for analytics, not for session handling. There is no login to keep alive and no server that would read one. Page views are counted without cookies, as described in the privacy policy.

The one thing written to your device is your own answer to the cookie banner, kept in localStorage under kobra.consent. It holds which categories you allowed and the date you chose. It is readable only by this site, is never transmitted anywhere, and exists so the banner does not reappear on every page.

Storing that answer is strictly necessary storage under the ePrivacy directive, which is why it needs no consent of its own: without it the site cannot remember the very decision you made.

Individual tools may also use localStorage to remember settings you pick, such as a default output format or quality, when you allow the Preferences category. Those values stay on your device as well.

The categories in the banner

The banner asks per category so that a future change — a third-party script, an embedded video, an advertising tag — is gated behind a decision you have already made, rather than bolted on afterwards. Today the categories cover:

• Strictly necessary — Needed for the site to work, including remembering this cookie choice. Cannot be switched off.
• Preferences — Remembers settings you pick in the tools, such as a default output format or quality.
• Analytics — Counts page views so we know which tools are used. Today this is cookieless and anonymous.
• Marketing — Advertising and cross-site tracking. None is used today and none will load unless you allow it.

Rejecting everything optional does not reduce what the tools can do. Every feature on this site works either way, because the processing happens on your own device and needs nothing stored to run.

Third-party cookies

None are set. No advertising networks, no social widgets, no embedded players, no third-party fonts and no tag managers are loaded on any page, so there is no other party in a position to write to your browser. The analytics described in the privacy policy are cookieless and store no identifier on your device.

Changing or withdrawing your choice

Your answer is kept for 6 months, after which the banner asks again. You can change it at any time:

• use the link, available here and in the footer of every page, which reopens the banner with your current choice pre-filled;
• or clear this site's data in your browser, which removes the stored answer entirely and makes the banner ask from scratch.

Blocking storage in your browser settings is also fine. The tools continue to work; the banner simply asks again on each visit, because there is nowhere to record that you answered.
